Raising Racial Consciousness in Predominantly White Spaces

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Given the number of predominantly white communities and the small percentage of teachers of color in this geographic region, this session will build the case for why and how educators need to engage all students to talk about race and racism. Having these critical conversations and lessons is one step in disrupting racism. The focus of this session aligns well with the following Principles of Student Centered Learning: positive relationships, positive identity, student ownership & Agency. Participants will be inspired and leave with tools and activities they can do in their own learning spaces with students.

Registered attendees will see the Zoom link posted here 1hour before this event. By registering you will also receive an email in the morning with your daily schedule for the day. In addition you will receive a reminder email an hour before the event with the link to join.
