Heritage Language Programs Strengthen Sense of Belonging and Academic Achievement

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Over 142,000 MN students speak a language other than english at home.  Having the opportunity to practice and study your heritage language and culture in school has a powerful impact on a student’s overall cognitive development, identity formation, sense of self and academic achievement.  This asset-based approach is student-centered learning that also strengthens bonds– and offers more opportunities for family leadership and involvement in their child’s education.  Join us in a conversation with educators from across the region who developed and lead critical heritage language programs.

Registered attendees will see the Zoom link posted here 1hour before this event. By registering you will also receive an email in the morning with your daily schedule for the day. In addition you will receive a reminder email an hour before the event with the link to join.
